I'm looking for an accessory for my nikon d3200 but i don't know what its called?

Is there something like a screen you can plug into the side of your nikon so you can see yourself recording? If that makes sense.

Tethering.
I don't think Nikon's own software works at that level but third paty options might offer some compatibility. Search 'tethering Nikon D3200'

I don't know either if the D3200 can output to a field monitor (external LCD, iPad or Mobile) that's basically what you are wanting, Landshark is 100% it's called 'tethering'.
Here's a video that shows you what you want, you just need to find out if the D3200 will let you connect one.

This device should do the kind of thing you want. The specifications tab shows that it is compatible with the D3200.

You need a monitor. Or just plug in an HDMI cable from the camera to the video card of your computer.
