I want to buy an SLR and narrowed it down to two

I just want some advice on choosing between Nikon or Canon. I either want a Canon EOS Rebel T1i or a Nikon D3100. Any advice will help or suggesting a different camera. 500-800 dollars is my budget. I'll be primarily using the camera for skateboarding.

For skateboarding… The D3100. Why? Because it has way better video features, and much better high iso performance. That'll help you with keeping the shutter speeds high enough to freeze motion even in less-than-bright-sunlight.
