I recently bought a refurbished Nikon D3200. Previously, I had a Nikon D3000?
I was using a Samsung SDHC 16gb Evo SD Card and it worked perfectly fine.
When I put it in my D3200, the message "this memory card can't be used. Card may be damaged. Insert another card?"
I have formatted it and done everything I possibly can think of/researched on.
Any ideas?!
Added (1). SD CARD PROBLEMS FOR REFURBISHED NIKON D3200?!
There's a little utility called "MiniTool Partition Wizard". Try downloading that and see if you can use it check the card, and then if the card is alright, remove any partitions from the card. That effectively makes the card look new. If you can do all that and the card still does not work then it's likely that you D3200 was originally returned for the very same reason, and you would need to take this up with whoever sold it to you. You have various consumer rights, don't be afraid to use them!
"refurbished" - who did the refurbish and is there a warranty with it? If it was Nikon, they will fix it.
Did you connect your refurbished camera to your computer on Nikon's web site for any updates to the software in your camera. Many people DO NOT read this instruction and as a result can't use the newer memory cards in their camera's.
Clean the contact on the card. If it's still not working, then try a new card. Also, check that your camera's firmware has been updated. The latest version is 1.0.3. http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/20/D3200.html
