I need a new lens for my Nikon D3000?

Broke my 18-55 mm and need a new, not extremely expensive lens that can do a lot for me. Any ideas?

Buy another 18-55 mm lens. This lens is least inexpensive lens with good result. And you can add 55-200mm if you have budget.

Just bought a 18-105mm for my D40 and its great. Like the VR lots.

Look hard at the 18-200 mm lens. It will cover what you had with the 18-55 and extend your shooting range to 200 mm, fine for sports, action and some wildlife

The least expensive lens you will be able to buy is either another 18-55mm or an AF-S 50mm.

If you want to upgrade to a 18-200mm lens, just realize that it costs more than your camera, and if you don't need the convenience of a single lens, the combo of a 18-55mm and 55-200mm lens will be just as good.
