I have a Nikon D3100, and I need a new lens 90$ vs 250$?
I'm in the market for a new lens for my nikon. I have a 18-55 kit lens with autofocus and vibration reduction. However, I need something with more range. Long story short there are 2 lenses. 55-200 mm, the only difference between them is the more expensive one has vibration reduction! The 90 dollar one is on sale, it's usually 150, is the 250 dollar VR lens worth it?
I wouldn't bother with VR, (I've never had it) but I'd suggest turning off the VR on your existing lens to see if you can handle it first.
Camera shake increases with focal length anyway, so you'll have problems adjusting to the new lens to start with.
It seems to be a no-brainer, but if you haven't learned the hard way, you're going to miss a lot of shots until you get it right.
