I have sigma lenses, that formerly went with a Nikon N65
The person at the camera shop said they would work with a D80 or higher. Which cameras would that include? Would they fit a D3000 or D3100?
Added (1). They are CPU lenses, they are type D with the aperture ring. The numbers on the lense are 70-300mmD1:4-5.6 On the N65 they are auto focus and manual focus. They have the 5 pin mount.
Does anyone know what cameras are higher than a D80?
They would work somewhat with the D80 but I don't believe the metering would work. It is possible that it would work with the D90 and I'm sure it would work with the D7000. I'm not sure about the D3000 or D3100 since those two need the af-s lens to meter and autofocus.
Not sure what you mean by "higher" but I'll assume you mean newer, obviously the recently obsoleted D90 is "higher" as is the hot, newer D7000 (did you notice the note of jealousy in my voice?). Here is a lens compatibility chart.
