I have a Nikon D5100. Looking to take shots of paintball action. What lens?

Looking to take pics of paintball action and dot know what lens would work. I'd be behind a mesh net and the actions would be done on a length no bigger than football field. Would a 18-200 work? I'm not a professional. So I don't need to spend thousands on a lens. Just want to be able to capture action in good quality.

If you were to set up near the "50 yard line," the 18-200 might not quite satisfy you for action in the far corners. 300mm would be better. Look at the 28-300 VR lens, which I use on a cropped sensor all the time for cars and birds. If you want to spend less money, check the 70-300 VR, or for even less, check the 55-300 VR.
