I have a nikon d3100 and?

I'm pretty sure i know the answer to this. But i just got a fisheye off of amazon that says it works for a d3100. Its a Bower.42x super fisheye wide angle lens-- a 46mm thread. But i'm pretty sure my camera needs a 52mm… My question is, will this lens i just bought work for my nikon d3100?
no rude answers please, thanks.
(i'm a beginner if you couldnt tell)
not sure if i even phrased this correctly.
Added (1). Could i possibly get some sort of adapter ring?

Why did you buy a add-on lens that was the wrong size?
Bower makes these toys with filter threads of 52 mm, 55 mm and 58 mm.
Send the wrong one back and either order the correct one or save you pennies and buy a real fisheye lens, as low as $300.

The Opteka's are out of stock right now, but soon enough you will be able to find one.

Those fish-eye filters things are absolute junk and complete wastes of money. Don't buy it.
