How to use lenses for a Nikon D5000 on a Canon T2i?
My brother has many different lenses for his Nikon D5000 and I just got a Canon T2i. If we could just share lenses it would make life much much easier. Is there some kind of adapter out there I could get to do so? Please help me out: D
Thanks
Added (1). I got the T2i for the video more than the photos. I realize Nikon just released the D3100 but I seemed to like the T2i a little better. Plus I have previous experience with Canon cameras.
Wouldn't it hav been easier just to get a nikon yourself? Anyway, there's adapters http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...BEOSN.html
Depends on the lenses.
If he has AF-D or manual lenses then yeah you can adapt them in manual focus mode only.
If they are lenses with built in focus motors and electronic apertures only, then you are on a hiding to nothing. Manual focus, wide aperture shooting in manual mode via an adaptor which will either lack infinity focus or have a cheapo element.
Buy canon lenses or get a nikon camera.
I'll repeat the question, why not just get a nikon?
- Which is better? Nikon D3100, Nikon D5000, or the Canon rebel T2i?
- What kind of lenses can I use for d3000? If I use an adapter to use my fd lenses is it okay? If not why?
- Can I use a Nikon 35mm lens on a Canon T2i camera?
- Nikon D3100, Canon T1i, or Canon T2i?
