How to turn on continuous auto focus on the Nikon D3100?

I've been playing with my new DSLR and I've noticed that in video record mode. That my continues auto focus is off, so I have to manually focus every time.
How do I turn on the continuous auto focus for my Nikon D3100(and its with a kit lens)?

Page 45 of your manual tells you to choose a focus mode. Are you doing that? Page 45 and 46 tell you how to set up the focus. If you don't have your manual, download one from Nikon.
