How to take senior pictures?

A friend of mine has asked me to take her senior pictures for her. I do photography as a hobby mostly and she really likes the way I take photos and editing them. Since this is the first time someone has asked me to take photos for them, I'm a little nervous on how it's going to turn out. I own a Nikon D3000 with both 18-55mm kit lens and 55-200mm lens. I need some tips and guidance on how to take great senior pictures.

Turn on your Nikon, place your friend in front of it and push the release button.

Since it appears that your friend is choosing you because she likes your style, just shoot as you would normally.

Think of some poses and places you can take her to take pictures. From there on, snap some photos in your style since it seems she really likes it.

The great thing about digital is that you can see your mistakes right away. I don't see why you are nervous (try using a film camera! )
just follow the rules of proper exposure and composition
