How to set burst mode on Nikon D70?
I can't figure out how to set my camera to continuous shooting mode. I've read the manual and I still can't figure out how to continuously shoot. If you could just give me a step by step on how to do it, I would really appreciate it.
Added (1). Please just answer my question. If you're just going to tell me to read the manual, don't answer. Thanks.
Added (2). I've set it to continuous shooting mode, but when I hold down the shutter it only takes one photo. What am I doing wrong?
Read the manual again, you'll find it.
Look on pages 62 and 63 of your user manual
Hold down the Shooting Mode button on the back, right next to the BKT button. While doing that, rotate the back command dial and look at the top lcd panel. You'll see the Shooting Modes displayed.
The choices are Single (S in a rectangle), Continous (overlapping rectangles), Self-Timer (sweeping clock hand icon), Delayed Remote (small remote and sweeping clock hand icons), and Quick Response Remote (small remote icon).
And in case you lost it, here's a link to your manual.

BTW, even though it's relatively old, the D70 is still a great camera. I love mine.
They're telling you to read the manual because it's the first thing you should've done. If you don't have a paper copy, download one.
That'll solve half your problems.
Continuous shooting does not work if you need the flash to compensate for low light… The light meter in the viewer should be at 0. Try shooting outside in better light and in manual mode where you can compensate for low light if needed by increasing the aperture and decreasing the shutter speed (or increase the iso as a last option) until the light meter is at 0.
