How to manually focus a 70-300mm?
I'm getting the 70-300 AF lens for my Nikon D3000. However auto focus is not available for the D3000 so I have to manually focus it myself. How do I do this? Do I just turn the part on the lens, left and right until it is in focus? A youtube video or a tutorial would be great. I tried searching but had no luck.
Look on pages 48 and 49 of your manual.
The lens has two rings, one for zoom and the smaller one at the front for focus. You just turn it to focus. The D3000 should light up an indicator (a large dot?) in the viewfinder when the subject is in focus.
