How to make Nikon d3100 screen timeout longer?

Hi, so I just got a Nikon d3100, and when I look at my pictures, the screen turns black far too quickly. How do I extend the time that the backlight stays on?

Look in the menus - there will be an option to change the time.

If you are using the camera correctly, you will not need to look at each image using the LCD. The LCD uses a whole lot of power, power better used to shoot photographs.
