You can't.

The D50 is a DSLR, and has an optical viewfinder - which is a characteristic of a SLR/DSLR.

But don't fret, the optical viewfinder is better than a digital screen, it just takes a bit longer to get used to it.

Some newer DLSRs have a live-view mode where you can set the digital viewfinder to display the pre-photograph scene, but most photographers only use this for video as they prefer the optical viewfinder.

One thing an optical viewfinder has over the digital screen is that in bright daylight, you can't see the digital screen very well. You can always see into the optical viewfinder in any lighting condition.

The optical viewfinder also allows you to hold the camera closer to your body rather than at arm's length. This is important as holding it closer results in more a steady camera, especially given that the DSLR is heavier than a compact camera.
