How to get published?

I'm a beauty and fashion photographer from Newcastle Upon Tyne.
I have worked with 2 fashion companies, Sinfused & ASOS, but they both got in touvh with me via my Model Mayhem account.
I look at other photographers work, who are around my age, and their work is amazing and they have been published in magazines like Heat, Cosmopolitan, Front etc. I would love to know how that's done?
I see people around me who are a few years older than me and they are working in London, New York etc doing photography and I would just love to know that someday I can have half of what they have.
I shoot with a Nikon D5000 and just a standard lens. I have my eye on a 70-200mm F2.8 lens but they are way out of my price range.
Here is a link to my Facebook page where a lot of my stuff is;

And advice will do, I just really want to make a living from this and help my family out for all that they've done for me.
Thank-you.

Work for an advertising agency, they will paste your work all over the place

Firstly, get more work…
secondly, improve your equipment to impress your clients…
thirdly, contact the editors of the magazines and show them your portfolio…
get your work off facebook and get a professional looking website…
spend some money to show you are serious…

First thing you need to is have better images on your portfolio. Those you have are below average for someone trying to get into fashion photography.
Once you have a good book then you contact the picture editors of magazines you are interested in and arrange to meet them to show your work.
You keep doing that until you get work.
Be prepared for a lot of rejections.
