How to take the highlights off my camera?

I have a nikon D50 and i guess i pushed something that put the highlights on when I view the pictures. How do I take this off?

If the highlights is causing you a problem, then you have something wrong with your metering method. When you have properly metered the image, there will be little or NO highlight flashing going one.
Look in your user manual to turn that feature off Around page 53.
Or you can call Nikon and ask them 800. NIKON-UX

Keep pressing the "display button" until the highlights stop "flashing".

Press the circular scroll dial on the back of the camera to either the left or the right. You'll see different display options from photo file data, regular image review, or highlight review.
It's easy to accidently press the dial in the heat of action, as we've all done it before.
Hope this helps.
