How to get pictures from my Nikon D3100?

So I got a Nikon D3100 for my birthday and today I tried to add pictures to facebook from it. I inserted my memory card into the built in reader on my HP Pavilion dv5 and it added them to my album… But when I went to add them to my facebook it said files not found… What do I do?

What and where is "my album"? Can you actually open them from there?

If so, then you're just not pointing the facebook uploader to the correct place.

Are they actually JPGs? Perhaps you only have the camera set to RAW, which facebook doesn't support. In that case, you'll need to convert them first.

Seeing how facebook butchers photos, you'd be better off resizing them first, anyway.
