How to take my own picture with nikon d3100? - 1

I bought nikon d3100 camera. I want to take my own picture by myself. Is there any self timer option or anything like that in this camera? Where can i find it & how to take the picture.

Have you read your owner's manual? If not do it now because the self timer information is there.

There's a self timer. However, to solve the problem of focusing on where you are going to be, get a Nikon ML-L3 infrared remote.
