On witch mode should I shoot in order to create a 300dpi pictures? Witch settings? I don't even know what it means.

DPI is a measure of printer or monitor resolution. If you shoot in your cameras "fine" mode you will be way above what is needed on a printer to achieve 300 dpi. No worries.

Nikon D7000 16.2 MP

Image Area (pixels) DX-format
(L) 4, 928 x 3, 264
(M) 3, 696 x 2448
(S) 2, 464 x 1, 632

Medium to large would be best, calculate size wanted for print, average or equate ppi to dpi
the range of pixels at 300 dpi is for print, so technically any image would fit into 5x7 type print,
the higher you set camera in size, the better detail in photo would print,

use raw format for larger quality imaging,

4928 x 3264 pixels is ~ 68 x 45 inches at 72 ppi
raise ppi to 300, and inches go down to 16 x 10 inch equivalent for dpi
any setting can be used for basic print, 4x6, 5x7,

if you are sending images to print shop they may be able to resize

if you are printing yourself, check camera or print software for print tools,
some have album/ sets, drag and drop, if not use editor and manually fit page,
and advanced print options when sending to printer,

Ok, lets make this as simple as possible. You DON'T set your camera to 300 dpi.dpi means dots per inch and is a PRINTER function. It has NOTHING to do with your camera. Your camera outputs in PPI, pixels per inch. The actual default number from the camera makes no difference. It may be 72, or 180, or 200, or 350, or any other number, … It makes NO difference.

The ONLY thing you need to do is this: ALWAYS set your camera to take photos at the LARGEST size / HIGHEST quality. That is All you have to do. You will then ALWAYS have plenty of resolution when you try to print a photo.

No need to fully understand the entire dpi / ppi technology discussion. Just keep your camera at it's largest size / highest quality settings and you will never have any problems. All you want to do is supply the printer, (or any printing service), with a large enough file for a quality print. The printer will create the photo at 300 dpi regardless of what you supply it. If you supply it with a small, low res file, the printer will try to make something out of nothing. If you supply the printer with a large, high res file, the printer is going be able to do it's job and output a quality print.

Nikon View NX automatically converts NEF files to Jpegs at 300dpi, the camera automatically makes the JPEGs it shoots at 300dpi. If you use photoshop its default is 240dpi. The image still looks the same.
