Hi community, my first post. I have nikon d3100 with 18-55 and 55-300, both vr?
I also own tamron 28-75 sp. Getting a superb deal on nikon 55-200vr.shd i buy? Experience 100 clicks _ still experimenting.
The 55-200 mm VR will give you good range, but then you asked about the 55-300 mm. Which one?
The 55-300 mm will give you the most reach.
If you already have the 55-300, I wouldn't get the 55-200 because they cover the same range, unless you want a backup zoom. Most of the reviews I've read say that the 55-300 is a better lens than the 55-200 that it replaced. If you are looking for a different type of lens I'd go with the 50mm 1.8G prime lens which is a good, fast portrait lens and very reasonable, or for even better low light capabilities the 50mm 1.4G (make sure it's the G, not the D or it won't autofocus on your D3100).It really depends on what you want the lens for, what do you mostly shoot?
If you already have the 55-300, for what reason are you wanting the 55-200?
You already have an 18-55mm and a 55-300mm. You can do away with the 28-75mm since it's already part of your other two zoom lenses but in terms of speed, it may be a bit helpful. As for the 55-200mm, what for? You already have the longer 55-300mm.
