Dslr Screen protector?

Will a screen protecter from Zagg work on my D3100? They don't sell a current d3100 screen protector but then again they do sell the D3000 one, and they both have the same screen size.
Or
Should I get a hardcover screen protector?
I don't want to get the screen scratched up or anything thats why.

Is the screens size are the same, then you could expect that the protector will fix the new model.
