Pentax K-30 - it's weather-sealed, meters with MF lenses and its body-mounted anti-shake system works with any lens.

Sony's SLTs will blow any of them out of the water for video.

If you want to step down, that's up to you.

How many time does it have to be said? You don't spend all that money on a camera somebody else likes! You make your own decision based on how comfortable the camera is to hold, how easy it is to see through the viewfinder. It IS a good thing to compare, in fact it is a MUST!

This job is much easier IF you know how to hold a DSLR!
1. Separate your feet a little-one foot in front of the other.
2. You bring the camera in close to your eye with elbows bent.
3. You hold the camera in your left hand and MOST IMPORTANT YOU CRADLE the lens in your right hand from underneath the camera. DO NOT hold the lens in the fashion that your hand looks like a lens shade!

NOW-You are ready to properly evaluate a camera with your eye to the viewfinder.

All of the above is why I jumped ship and bought a Pentax DSLR. Current model Pentax K-30!

PLUS, I didn't want to pay for the stabilization feature on each lens I purchased since Pentax stabilization feature is built into the camera body. Also I can purchase older Pentax lenses that will do the same job cheaper. For instance the Pentax 100mm Macro for $480.00 instead of the $850.00 current price!

The Nikon D5200 is the best of that lot.

I don't see Pentax on the list, maybe Andrew needs glasses?
