Does the nikon d90 sport a good viewfinder?

Hi there… I'm using the nikon d5000 for my photography at the moment, and its absolutley brilliant.apart from one thing, the viewfinder! Now call me fussy but I find it extremely dark, cramped and sore to have my eye pressed there for more than a few seconds.

i have an olympus om1n and the viewfinder on that is just fantastic, big and bright like it should be. However that is a 35mm film slr and as such I don't use it as much (due to processing times)

anyhow… I was thinking about making a small jump up to the d90, mainly for the pentaprism viewfinder. People who own the camera, is the viewfinder nicely big and bright? I understand its also to do with the lens' widest aperture but I think the d5000s would still be cramped as hell even if i had a faster lens on it.

Added (1). Thanks everyone. Joby stop going on about why the camera is good I already know it is good. I want to know about viewfinders

The D5000 has the pentamirror technology, where as the D90 has an awesome pentaprism. The advantage of pentaprism are it helps you have a better quality viewing and very helpful during manual focus. Here is a page where you can find the comparisons between D90 vs. D5000

and here is also a page where you find the difference between the pentamirror and pentaprism

From mirror to prism is a huge difference. From the d90 to a d300 is an even bigger difference.
