Does the nikon d90 have an electronic shutter?
I'm looking to purchase a dslr and am set on the d90 just can't find any information wether it has an electronic shutter or not, thank you
Yes!
Yes. Check it out on the site below…
For some reason I think you mean something other than electronically timed shutter, more like the sensor turning on and off like some P&S cameras do.
No it does not. If you look inside with the mirror locked up, you can see the actual vertical shutter behind it.
Ya it have. I had used Nikon D90 DX 12.3MP Digital SLR Camera which is really good.
* 12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS imaging sensor
* 5.8x AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens included
* D-Movie Mode; Cinematic 24fps HD with sound
* 3-inch super-density 920, 000-dot color LCD monitor
* Capture images to SD/SDHC memory cards
It has, like most nikons, a hybrid construction. The mechanical shutter does the job to about 1/1000 I think. After that shorter exposures are handled electronically.
