Does the nikon d60 dslr have image stabilization?
I'm looking to buy a dslr camera. I wanted to know if the Nikon D60 has image stabilization. Also if the Sony alpha a230 has it as well. Which camera do you think is better?
No Nikon body has a stabilizer built in. All Sony bodies do.
The A230 would be neck and neck with the D60 (which is an older model and no longer made) but the A330 would be even better.
Sony, Olympus, and Pentax bodies mostly have In body image stabilization (IBIS). Nikon and Canon have optical image stabilization (OIS) in many, but not all lenses. IBIS seems like an attractive idea, avoiding the weight and cost of redundancy in the lenses. However, OIS tends to generally be more effective.
