Nope
The Nikon D3000 series dSLR cameras are designed for absolute beginners who do not already understand all the common terms of photography, nor do they understand the fundamentals of photography.
While the Guide Mode is helpful, you can do what those of us did decades ago when we learned using 35 mm SLR cameras and film.
Learn how to use the cameras lightmeter to pick the correct exposure. You can do this on line on the link below
