About any new DSLR camera release rumors for the end of 2011-2012?

I'm trying to decide if I should go ahead and purchase the Canon 7D or Nikon D7000 or wait and see if Canon will be releasing an update to the 7D. If anyone has any websites that share rumors or any information about upcoming release rumors, please let me know.

End of this year or least at the end of jan next year there should be Nikon D7100.To say the truth waiting will get you no where. Buy it now, buy it today, make a portfolio good enough and when the next hardware comes out, you can point to it and say"better hardware doesn't mean a better photograph, always the man behind the lens". Even if you wait, sooner or later eventually something better will appear, then waiting cycle never ends. Buy it now, go out and shoot today.

Anyway. The D7000 is a technically better choice than 7D. Slightly better. But the 7D is a pro level camera in every aspect, it is very good and I would say 7D is more expensive for a reason. It feels better. But If you are about to spend $2000 on a 7D then kindly consider what other option you have.

My advice is: GO FULL FRAME. Both 7D and D7000 are crop sensor where If you buy the sony a850 (full frame), you will be getting in to the real world of photography. And none of the crop sensors can match its deal. Sony does make sensors for canon and nikon. The A850 is second best from Sony.

There are some rumor websites, but their information is a little weak.

I got back seriously into photography, in the last few years, due to a friend lending me his 68 year old clockwork Leica IIIc, never had so much fun and concentration, loads of chums poring over black and white prints, and some of the best pix I have ever taken.

OK so in its day it was fabulously expensive, and still today is more than a dig compact, but point taken; it is the enthusiasm and creativity that makes the pictures - many folk do quite well with a Lomo fer Gawd''s sake!
