Does a tripod for Canon 350D fit Nikon D5000?
I recently bought a Nikon D5000 and a friend of mine offered the tripod he used for his old 350D but I'm not sure about the mount/socket size. If my research is correct, the screw used by 350D is 1/4" - 20 and D5000 is 1/4" ISO 1222. What is the difference? I'm pretty in the scene so sorry for the n00b question. Thanks in advance
Added (1). *pretty new*
Yes.
All tripod connections are the same except for those that are designed to hold 35 mm motion picture and 8x10 view cameras
Come to think of it, it might not be okay because the gravity of mercury is not the same as the price of Honda Civic 2009.So in order for you to achieve that goal, you have to cut a tomato and eat a slice of onion and swim to The red sea and part the book into half. By then, it should be able to swallow at least 3 loafs of bread. See you. So the point is, yes you can fit it in.
Fortunately tripod mounts are pretty much universal. Only thing to watch out for is maximum weight but since there's no real difference between these cameras that's no issue.
So, say thank you to your friend and have fun!
Yes. No problem.
The '1/4/20 thread is the standard for all cameras expect heavy view (sheet film cameras). ISO designation is just that a designation.
