Do they make a cable release for the Nikon D3000?
I've the wireless remote but i really need a cable release because i'm going to be using bulb mode but i just can't fine one anywhere, do they make them and if so please tell me where.
Just try use the tv remote if that does no work i do know kk
Unfortunately, there's no wired release available for the D3000, but you can use the wireless remote for bulb mode.
When you set up the shutter for bulb and the release for IR wireless (ML-L3), here is how it works:
Depress the IR remote the first time - it opens up the shutter, and it remains open.
Depress the IR remote the second time - it closes the shutter.
When you setup the camera for bulb mode with the shutter release set to remote, TIME is displayed rather than BULB if I recall.
At any rate, we tried this on my son's D3000 and it does work.
Well the D3000 was never made with a socket into which you can plug in a cable release. However with IR remote you can still use bulb as the first press opens the shutter and the second closes it.
