Critique this one photo?
After a long hiatus, I've recently begun to use my cameras again. I was stuck on my 35mm SLR for a while, but I grabbed my DSLR (Nikon D60) tonight and took a few shots rather quickly, just to practice.
What do you think of this photo:
Added (1). I'm most certainly into animal cruelty.
Very nice!
gives it a cool dark feeling to it.
Not to to crazy about it…
It needs to be… I don't know… Artsy (?)
And… More color… It's a little dark…
How it helps.
If that's a real betta you are apparently into cruelty to animals.
Its really amazing you got some talent!
Good job
Love nice things
Not keen on it I'n afraid. The bowl is nicely lit, but unless you told me that was a fish I'd be guessing - is out of focus.
Do it
1) Change the aperture priority to manual and then at f/2.5 have a shutterspeed of around 1/640~1/800 instead of 1/1000… Also if possible set ISO at 100
2) If you know photoshop then edit the brightness settings of the picture…
Apart from that composition is perfect…
Nice one! Its seems illustration!
The backgorund is good, the reflections in the water are good, but the water spots are distracting.i'd clean the bowl a bit more before taking any more shots.
Poor lighting and indistinct. I can see it's a fishbowl but that's about it.
Don't take shots quickly… One considered, well thought out image will for 99.9% of the time beat the occasional snap taken in haste.
Too dark
and that's the only thing… It is too dark to see anything else wrong…
so much not be sharp
Its very moody! I would like to know the lighting that you used for this!
I think the photo would be a lot nicer if you wiped off the dirt from the bowl, it's a little distracting. It's also hard to see what the photo is of because the exposure is way dark. Good shot though.
my photography: D
Compared to the other fish shot you did, that is so fail.
Oh, and you shot it with a digital camera instead this time, adding insult to injury.
You get a D
Yes, I think you shew it the other day as a silhuette. It's a fish, is not… So lone
