Suggest a DSLR that does not have the movie option?
I mean i really don't care about that i like the Nikon D3000 but it has the full HD option that i don't need is there a similar camera less expensive.
Sony alpha 250 or alpha 200
The D3100 has video but the D3000 does not.
Nobody is forcing you to use the video, so I don't really understand. And you're not overpaying the camera, though I wish it would be like that and we could remove video and pay less. But it's a few more dollars, and DSLRs used to cost thousands of dollars years ago and had worse performance.
D3000 does not record video, and it has no Live View either. Canon EOS XS has Live View and is priced similarly, making it the best low priced DSLR. There's also the T3i with video, but it's still quite cheap!

Everything seems to have video nowadays.
I had the same dilemma some months ago. I don't need to do video with a dSLR nor do I need LiveView. Since I'm into Pentax and they basically offer only two models (one high, one low) at any given moment, I had no choice but to get their entry-level model and completely ignore the features I hated. If only I could glue the blasted button so I wouldn't accidentally press it. I believe the K-x is very much worth it even without those two unnecessary features.
