Can Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG Macro canon mount operate in nikon d7000?
I saw this in sulit.com and i'm about to buy it but the seller said that its canon mount… But i thought that sigma lenses can carry both canon and nikon.am i right?
No, Sigma makes lenses with bayonet mounts for several brands including Canon and Nikon, but you can't mount a Sigma lens made for Canon on a Nikon camera, you'll have to buy the Sigma lens specifically made for Nikon. They're not interchangeable.
Sigma make lenses in separate mounts. You'll have to buy the Nikon version if you want it to fit your camera.
It will not fit.
Sigma make lenses to fit all major camera manufacturers' bodies but each individual lens will fit only one type and can't be modified to fit any other.
You need the Nikon version of a Sigma lens to mount on a Nikon.
