Can my Nikon d5100 work with this lens?
I want to buy the SP AF70-200mm F/2.8 Di lens but I'm not sure if it will 100% work.
1.) Will it auto focus?
2.) Will it have vibration reduction of some sort?

And this should be a good lens for low light sports photography, right?
You would think that the links show you everything you need to know.
But there's NO mention of an on-board auto-focus system in the lens, nor it having Tamron's version of image stabilization.
If the Tamron has an internal auto-focus motor and has image stabilization, then of course that will answer your question in an affirmative way.
The 70-200 mm is good for some sports photography and the D5100 is excellent in low light situations.
When I shoot basketball, I use a 24-70 mm f/2.8 for the baseline shots and 300 mm f/2.8 for cross court shots
