I'm getting a nikon d90. However i have two great cannon lenses for a non digital camera of mine. I have tested them and they work on my mothers cannon rebel. I was wondering if there's a way i can make them work on my d90.it would really help cut down the cost.

Added (1). It is a canon EF lens

No, nikon and cannon have different mounts

They might not fit correctly.

The camera registry of Nikon requires a longer back focal length than a canon lens can offer.

It is (in principle) possible to use Leica lenses on on Nikon bodies, if a 0.5mm Nikon F to Leica R mount adapter can be made.

Sorry can't be done. It's like trying to fit a large round peg into a small square hole.
Why not stick with Canon since you already have several Canon Lenses.

Unfortunately, no. The Canon lense mount is larger in diameter than the Nikon, so no adaptor would work that could let you have focus to infinity. I suppose there are some extension tube style ones out there, but then the Canon lens would only be useful for closeups and with zero metering and auto-focusing compatibilty.

Nope, Canon lenses use only electrical contacts for control, Nikon uses a electrical/mechanical system and a different lens mount. Why not get an EOS 50D instead?
