Can I connect my Nikon D90 to a portable DVD player?
I just read an article about someone connecting their DSLR to a portable DVD player to view their images right away, although I'm having trouble figuring it out.
I tried connecting the AV OUT on my D90 to the portable DVD player with the yellow and white jacks but that didn't work. Maybe I'm using the wrong cord? I don't want to buy Nikon's Camera Control just to do this, is there another way?
Only if your portable has a usb in port.
You first need to take close note to your DVD player. Most portable DVD players have out put jacks to connect larger TV's, tho some do have input jacks to connect game systems to. If yours has input jacks you are using the right cable from your camera to connect, all you really need is the yellow rca connected. You may need to find a switch on the DVD player to allow an AUX source to play thru. Your camera will still take pics thru the view finder, (not the LV) after taking pics you would review using the menu button. How ever you might think you can click and it would pop up automatically on the screen then NO it will not do that. You would need to tether a laptop to it and use NKRemote 2.0 for full function.
