Can I change the white balance settings if I use automatic on my Nikon D60?
On Auto Mode you can set the white -balance. Go to the Shooting Menu and do it. You can't do it in the scene modes.

It came with the camera when you purchased it.
If you read it, you will find out a lot about your camera, especially what it can & can't do.
You could stop using the AUTO white balance setting on the camera…
You can also shoot RAW and adjust in post.
Just shoot RAW, then process in RAW conversion software - then there's no need to worry about white balance at all.
