Can I bring my DSLR and film camera onto an airplane with me? - 1

I have a Nikon D3000 and a Pentax K1000. I'm carrying both with me tomorrow for my flight because I don't want to risk the chances of both getting damaged or broken in the checked luggage. But are they going to have to examine my cameras? And with the x-ray thingie damage my cameras?

Yes it's carryon luggage no issues taken mine on loads never had an issue

Not a problem, DSLR cameras and film cameras do not require any special checks. Just leave them in your carry on luggage or camera bag and you'll be fine.

Carry-on is the only way to go for cameras. NEVER put them in checked luggage. I've been through security many times with first my SLR and then my DSLR and never had a problem. They know what a camera looks like on the x-ray. As long as your film is 400 ASA or below, there won't be any problem with that either.

DSLR are fine in your carry on. So long as both fit into the one bag. As for the x-ray thingie, it only affect film I believe. So you're fine.
I bring my DSLR with me on carry on too, for the risk of damage.
