Camera setting for football game?
Tonight I'm shooting my first football game. And of course it will be nighttime with only a few lights from the field. I'm currently shooting with my Nikon D3000 and my 18-35mm lens. I not that fluent in shooting manual so could someone possibly recommend to me what setting I should have my camera on?
Sorry Maggie (I have a daughter named Maggie) but there's no setting that will work well for those conditions. Tell you what. Run your ISO up to about 800 or more. You'll get some noise in the shots but you can't help that. Keep your aperture wide open and then try some faster shutter speeds to see what happens.
I'll bet you get some blur but you may get one or two shots you can keep.
