Camera Nikon D3100 built-date?

I'm interested in buying the Nikon D3100 camera next year and hopefully the price will be lower then. Do you know when the Nikon D3100 first came out to market?

Don't buy that, i suggest the Canon 5D.

They were first introduced about nine months ago and are still being made.

Do not expect a replacement for at least another nine months, maybe longer since the earthquake and tsunami in Japan slowed things down a lot

If anything, the cost of cameras may go up due to the devaluation of the US Dollar, however at under $700 it is a bargain.
