Best Lens to purchase with a Nikon D90?
I'm new to the DSLR world and looking into buying a Nikon D90. I'm looking for suggestion as to which lens package would be best for my needs; I'm mainly purchasing to shoot my kids indoors as well as outdoors (somewhat from afar) sometimes in low lighting and take a couple of pictures at family gatherings (group pictures). I want to buy from Best Buy and really don't want to purchase the incorrect lens or miss out on a good deal while it's available to me. The first one was what the sales Rep.recommended to me but I don't want it to be just because of the price. Thank In advance for all thoughtful input.

The best lenses in the world are German made, generally by the Leitz company, makers of Leica cameras. Based on the assortment above, I'd go with the one that gives you the telephoto lens. Make sure to pick up the largest amount of memory card you can so that you can always maximize your resolution.
Those seem to be kind of high prices for what you are getting. In general, you can probably buy a lot of those accessories online for a lot less. What I would get:
Nikon D90 with 18 to 105 lens - $889 from B&H Photo

Sandisc 8 GB Class 10 card - $30.99 from Amazon

Bags are a matter of opinion. I like this one for $42

a cheap UV filter ( helps protect the lens) $5.00
Lens cleaning kit $20
That comes to $977. You can probably do better with a little shopping around. I would not worry about the extra lenses. A 18 to 105 is plenty for the beginner. If you want to add a lens. I would recommend a fast 50 like this one.

Its great for low light and portraits. It will also give you plenty of Bokeh (the out of focus background) if you want that look.
if you a big zoom instead, you can get this 70 to 300 Sigma for $236 instead

I believe Best Buy will match internet prices.
hope this helps
Just so you know, the D90 has been discontinued, and are on close out right now (replaced by the D7000). But I have the D90, and it is still a very capable camera, should you find one at a good closeout price.
I don't like the first combination from your Best Buy list. Plus, they seem a bit expensive to me.
The first one - you don't need both a 18-105mm lens and a 18-200mm. The 18-200mm lens (the one I have) is much superior, and I use it when I go on cruises so I can take a minimum of lenses and can pack light.
If you want the 18-200mm lens, buy the D90 as a body only (might have to go to Amazon, Adorama, or B&H to do so), then buy the lens separately. Otherwise, the 18-105mm will sit in your closet and you will always be using the 18-200.
The "chromatic aberration" lens is actually a VR version of the 55-200mm zoom.
The last one; the 85mm lens is a Macro lens (if it is a Nikon lens). So if you are into Macro, that would be an option.
