Best lens for video on Nikon D3100?

I'd like to know a lens that is good for cinematic video on the d3100 dslr. I've heard the 50mm is good but I'm not sure it is the best and it does not zoom either.

Cinematic video? What does that mean. Cinema is in movie theaters and you'll never get to that quality level with a simple dslr camera.

If you know what you doing any lens will work - and I mean any lens. If you're hand holding you may want to get one with IS, sorry I'm a Canon guy, VR for Nikon. It really helps with the hand
shake when shooting by hand.
