Best lens for Nikon D7000 to use on a Stop-motion / Claymation animation?
I'm getting ready to make a stop motion animation and i have nikon d7000. I have not yet bought a lens and I would like any advice from whom ever made any type of stop motion animation using the d7000. What lens gives the best result? Please forgive my grammar, english isn't my first language.
With proper lighting, the 18-55mm VR lens would probably work ok.
If your doing small, tabletop animations, get the 40mm f/2.8 lens from Nikon. It focuses extremely close, it has a wide aperture for low light shooting, it's sharp, and plus, it's cheap! It retails for around $270-$300 USD and I'm sure you could get a better deal off eBay or Amazon.
