Best budget Nikon DSLR?

I have a budget of $300-400 for a DSLR body with no lenses. You can find a used D3000 for about $250, but are there some older models that I can find used that would be better?

Best budget dSLR? The cheapest whatever you find out there. If you can find one at $250 then so be it. Make sure to inspect the camera personally before you hand over your precious cash.

Instead of cost $250 to buy a used D3000, you should stretch your budget to buy a brand new D3000, now the Nikon D3000 w/18-55mm Lens is $434, only a little over budget, but you don't need to worry about the quality, check here to learn more information:

I would suggest you get newly released D3100 brand new! A good functioning DSLR should be treated like a tool for art and it will be loyal to you for a long time. But hey that's just me! If you want to buy 2nd hand DSLR go for it.

Hi, Best budget DSLR is Nikon D3100… But your range is bit short. You can get Nikon P500 in $400 range… Because after buying DSLR you have to invest in better lenses for good IQ…
