Any thoughts on the Nikon D3100?

So, I'm looking at buying my first SLR camera, and thinking about the Nikon D3100. Any thoughts? Is it a good camera? Also, what lenses would you recommend I get?

Its a great entry level camera is the least I can say about it.
as for lenses, stick with the kit 18-55mm lens until you figure out what you like to shoot.
perhaps you want to do long distance shooting, the 55-200 or 55-300mm VR lenses are good choices
perhaps portraits, the 50mm f/1.4G lens
macro? 60, 80, or 100mm lenses
just make sure they are AF-S or AF-I lense, for any other lenses will not autofocus on the camera
