Well my fiance's nan just gave me an olympus om10 film camera,
and i know the basics of how to work it but i want to know how to
get really good photo's.
I've used film camera's a few times on my photography course
a couple of years ago when i was studying photography but i
mainly focused on digital photography because i got a nikon D5000
but did not have a film camera (my friend let me use his dads for
the compulsory film bit of the project)

so i was just wondering how to get really nice pictures like what
should i have all the settings on etc

(i'm going to start using it tomorrow because my fiance's
going to get me some films and new batteries for it)

You get really good photos with a film camera the same as with a digital camera. You learn and practice the basics of composition, lighting, and exposure.

That's a pretty hard question to answer, but I'll have a go at it. I'm an Olympus fan and I still use a few of them. The OM 10 is the most basic of the OM models. One important thing to remember is to use a shutter speed that's fast enough for you to hand hold. If you shoot at anything slower than 1/60 you probably should use a tripod. Also, do not use Chrome films, but negative films and not too slow either. When you shoot something, scan it and put it online and let me see it. I can help you more if I can see what you are doing.

Hope this helps. E-mail me for any other questions.

Using a film camera is exactly the same as using a digital camera, the exception being that if you want to change ISO, you need to change film.

Each film has a different look to it, so have a look through flikr for examples of different films.
Regardless of what the guy above said, you can indeed shoot chrome films (slides), they're just trickier to get right as your exposure has to be bang on. Negative film is much more forgiving.
