About SLR camera, i need to buy one?

My name is Alex. I'm going to by one SLR camera, the models are canon 550d and nikon d5100. On the bases of picture quality.

Both are good, but personally I would recommend the Nikon5100.

Both will give you quality results. Can you go to a store that sells both of them? Choose the one that feels right to you.

Nikon d5100 is a newer camera with more functions, hence makes more sense to me.
