18-200mm VR II lens Vs 18-105 VR lens, Nikon D7000?
I'm picking up today a Nikon D7000 and it comes with the 18-105 VR lens. My question is, is there much difference between the 2 lenses? Is it worh the expense? In any case Ill sell the 105mm and pick up the 200mm.
I do mostly at home pictures and some landscape. But there might be that one day that I will need a little extra zoom.
What do you guys think? Maybe some of you with that 200mm lens can share some insight as to how much of that zoom do you really use and how often…
I find the 18-105 works for most situations. For pure landscape work I find it too distorting on the wide end. The 18-200 is, in my mind, not worth it's money. If I want to go beytond 100mm I want to go a way beyond it for wildlife and then the 70-300VR would be my advice for a beginner.
