DSLR or compact system camera? - 1

I want to learn professional photography just as a hobby. What camera should I buy? Will the Sony NEX 5N be good enough to try everything out to make me a fully learned photographer? Or should I get a DSLR by Canon/Nikon etc? I'm really confused from all the blogging I've done recently on these topics. Please suggest me different models in different price ranges & different makes.

Sony Alfha 100 is best and low cost is full frame camera

I personally would get a DSLR. I don't know a ton about the camera you posted, however, if you get a DSLR there's a ton of room for upgrading the body as well as different types of lenses if photography is something you really end up liking and decide to persue. Right now I have the Nikon D3100, ( I paid about $700 for the body 2 lenses and a bag) and for the most part I love it. I recently got into hbbyist photography as well. There are some lens restrictions due to the body I chose, but nothing major. I'm also considering getting a Pentax. Maybe a K-X, K-R, K-7 or K-5. The K-X is only about $500 or so and I have read a ton of good reviews on it. Plus it comes in colors.
