Would just like to ask if the old nikon lenses can be used with the new nikon 1's… Old lenses eg.used in the retro SLR eras… Bec I asked around and they said old nikon lenses can still be used on modern nikon DSLR's. Just i'm not sure if it works for the new nikon 1's… Thanks in advance

Old Nikkor lenses can be used on most modern Nikon DSLRs, but not on a horrible Nikon 1 thing.

No. The Nikon 1 uses the Nikon 1 lens mount. However, Nikon is expected to soon release an adapter, the FT-1, to allow use of the classic Nikon F mount lenses on the Nikon 1. Price will be in the neighborhood of $300.00 or less. Personally, I'd just buy a Nikon D5100 and not worry about an adapter.

The Nikon 1, with the FT-1 adapter will mount virtually every Nikon F-mount lens ever made. Obviously, there's no autofocus on manual focus lenses, and there's no electronic coupling with lenses that didn't have that technology.AF-S lenses (introduced in 1996) are the best match, and give full compatibility.AF & AF-D lenses are manual focus only, but will meter and work perfectly electronically.

No. Even the new Nikon digital F-mount lenses won't work. The Nikon 1 uses a totally different mount. Wait for adapters to come out soon.
